Jon Hassel uses his trumpet through electronics to make it
sound like you're being wrapped with hot wet flannels. These electronics
have always seduced me and I appreciate having some sort of ability
with saxophone and trumpet which can be processed with electronica
because that is my taste. If I was merely into electronica without any
musical ability I might be just another laptop producer. Real
instruments bring the fundamental sounds into tracks, even if they are
nearly obscured by processing.
